Chinese New Year 2025

27th January 2025

The year 2025 marks the Year of the Wood Snake in the Chinese lunar calendar, beginning on 29 January 2025.

At eLC HQ, we kicked off the celebrations early on 27 January 2025, with a delightful reunion buffet lunch, which started off with Yu Sheng – symbolising prosperity and good fortune.

Each team member also received a lottery ticket and two mandarin oranges from CEO William Chua — a cherished tradition to bring good luck to the new year.
While it seemed that no one hit the jackpot this time, there’s always next year. Better luck in 2026!

We also enjoyed a lively Lion Dance performance by the Sheng Fo Tan Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe on 3 February 2025. This has been a cherished annual tradition in eLC, bringing joy and festive energy to the team.

As part of the tradition, we also invited the pair of Lions to bless our work desks, ushering in prosperity and good fortune for the year ahead!

The joy of Chinese New Year also reached eLCians stationed at various camps, where CEO William Chua gifted CNY oranges, spreading festive cheer and good fortune.
