eLC is extremely proud to have one of our Family Members, MAJ(NS) Ong Wei Shiong receiving the prestigious SAF NSMan of the Year 2020 Award. The SAF NSman of the Year Award winners comprise of Officers, Warrant Officers and Specialists from the Army, Navy and Air Force. These awards are presented to NSmen who have demonstrated excellent performance, and consistently set exemplary standards in training, discipline, and attitude towards NS. You can only receive this award once!
The award was presented on the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Day — 1 July. In light of the Covid-19 situation, the ceremony was officiated by Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen at SAFTI Military Institute, with Operationally Ready National Servicemen (NSmen), Full-time National Servicemen and Regulars joining in remotely to reaffirm their commitment to Singapore's defence. The ceremony was live streamed on MINDEF's social media channels, and garnered more than 53,000 views.
