24 Jun 2020

24th June 2020, marks an important milestone in our calendar when we welcomed the Commander CSS Command (CSSCOM), together with Commander Army Logistic Training Institute (ALTI), Deputy Chief Transport Officer, Commanding Officer ALTC 1, Division Sergeant Major CSSCOM and Chief Master Trainer ALTI for a half day visit at STS KBC.

For our newly set up INDeLCO Driving Academy, this visit is timely, following 2 months of high intensity ground work, after being awarded a 10+10 years contract by DSTA to be a One-Stop Driver/Rider Training Academy on 29th April 2020. A lot has happened since taking over the reins from our incumbent with a scope that spans across training curriculum redesign; trainers’ qualification program; vehicle fleet & facilities management handing and taking over duties and conducting the training itself. Notably, the motivated team had a lot to show for, while remaining focused to strive for continuous improvement.

On arrival, the CSS leaders were first introduced to the project management team of the newly installed integrated workforce (IWF) as well as the key appointment holders (KAHs) of the IWF Consortium (Indeco Engineers and eLC). Thereafter, the CSS leaders engaged CO and KAHs of STS & TLS and this was followed by engagement with the Consortium.

The event ended on a high note with demonstration and hands-on experience on our newly installed operational control and learning innovations. Our visitors tried out the various innovations that we have developed for the trainees, trainers, technicians and back-office staff. Through a combination of interactive e-theory modules that can be delivered on mobile devices anytime-anywhere, high quality on-the-road practical lessons, as well as digital gamification and simulation-based training, our INDeLCO Driving Academy aspires to take the ‘learning to drive’ experience to a whole new level and to be the best-in-class driving academy in Singapore and beyond.
