eLC's 12th Company Retreat was held in Bandung, Indonesia during 22nd - 25th October this year.
Upon arrival, we stopped en-route for lunch in the city and had a taste of their local delights before heading to the hotel.
Our 4D3N stay was hosted at G H Universal Hotel which was set in stately Italian Renaissance style, up in misty hills, which made us seem like we were in Europe. We collected our room keys and had a rest before heading down to Brick & Barrel, a local well known hangout, for dinner.
With the perfect ambience and chilly weather, eLCians surprised our CEO, Mr. William Chua, and his spouse, Ms. Ming, with a cake to celebrate their 23rd Wedding Anniversary. As Boss always says, 'eLC is Family'. Thus, it was truly a lovely moment to share with the eLC family and ended the night on a sweet note.
On Day 2, eLC conducted the 1st part of AGM in the morning. Our CEO and respective Business Unit (BU) heads presented the Company’s progression, future visions, challenges and key focus for the upcoming year succinctly. To wrap up the morning, two of our colleagues, Addison from eLC Services together with Zach from POWERdrive, presented on new R&D ideas such as eLCventory and ARTery that are part of our continuous efforts to provide our clients with innovative training and learning solutions.
The next day, part 2 of the AGM continued. eLC integrated the discussion with BAR-DAR-PAR using the 3-2-1 summarisation technique for our colleagues to share their key success and challenges. This open discussion brought in many feedback that will enable the management to improve on existing operations.
As always, SAVE the LAST for the BEST! TEAMBUILDING! With an indoor setting this year, the games played was both interesting and challenging. We had to yell, to direct, to be creative and resourceful in order to complete the various team tasks and a final presentation to our CEO. It was nothing short of CRAZY FUN!
After the AGM and with timely rest, we were ready for our celebratory dinner, marking our 12th anniversary, by the poolside. There were a variety of buffet dishes including live stations featuring roasted and barbecued meats. Besides enjoying the scenery, drinks and food, we were also presented with a traditional Indonesian dance. It was altogether a relaxing night filled with laughter and fun with colleagues, family members and guests.
"Time flew by so quickly. With the various events planned around sufficient rest and relax periods, it was an enjoyable retreat which achieve the objective to bond the eLC family closer, and also regroup and rejuvenate for the challenges ahead." said Hong Boon Mong, executive, eLC-TARMS.
