In November 2012, eLC embarked on a learning journey as to how we can understand the nature of behaviour with Yoshimi & Jon Brett. Yoshimi and Jon, also known as TetraMom & TetraDad, are the co-creators of TetraMap. Using nature as a metaphor, people can understand and explore better ways to communicate effectively to improve teamwork and reduce conflicts.
This learning journey leads William, Ryan and Donovan to attend the 3-days TetraMap Facilitator Certification Course from 27 - 29 Nov 2012 by Yoshimi and Jon. The course will give better insight to eLC on TetraMap and its application in numerous areas, like leadership competencies, diversity in perspective, communications styles and performance motivators by using the 4 elements of nature, namely Earth, Air, Water and Fire.
William sharing with the particpants on how to use TetraMap in planning.
With the philosophy of Respecting the diversity of nature and using the 4 elements as the foundation, it allow us to apply the principles of TetraMap to oneself by having a clear understanding of ones' strength and weakness, the nature elements of others around us and the complexity of communication challenges that we faced daily in our work, social and personal lives.
End of Course Group Photo - learning can be fun!
At the end of the 3 days, we learnt that the TetraJourney can be simple and fun but yet not simplistic. This journey has also brought together many fellow TetraKnights of the present and past courses since 2001. With the given tools, techniques and stories that Yoshimi and Jon has imparted to us, eLC is ready to start our TetraJourney!
