eLC, a leading eLearning service provider in Singapore with core competencies in customised eLearning content development and solutions to enable organisations to develop and deploy their own "e" content, has completed design and development of their eContent Authoring Course (eCAC), which has gained the accreditation of the National Infocomm Competency Centre (NICC).
Targeted at traditional face-to-face trainers, this course systematically skills these trainers with three distinct competencies needed for an ever-increasing wired world, namely:
Technical competency:
The ability to create "e" content, accessible anytime, anyplace
Design competency:
The ability to design pedagogically-sound content; content that actually supports learning
Business/Blending competency:
Since trainers can be seen to be in the business of training, they must be able to decide how best to teach certain subjects (e.g. face-to-face or "e" format). Hence, the ability to decide how to blend courses is deemed to be its business competency.
At the end of the course, participants´ works are evaluated against an established set of judging framework. If a participant successfully completes the course, he/she would be awarded a Certificate in eContent Authoring, which is nationally recognised.
