Leader's Engagement Day

2nd July 2020

1st July is a day of utmost importance to a tiny dot in the world map. The servicemen in this island country of Singapore marked this special day as a day to reaffirm pledge of loyalty and dedication to the Singapore Armed Forces and the nation. eLC Pte Ltd, in partnership with the Singapore Armed Forces for more than a decade, aligns her dedicated pride and celebrates the day by engaging all personnel involved in Project B-Vehicles. This is part of the company’s engagement programme to reflect on the work accomplished, and provide periodic, timely areas of emphasis moving forward.

Arriving early to secure a parking space with newbie Fuad, Kaki Bukit Camp is already buzzing with excitement on a beautiful morning. Since the project commenced late April, it is the very first time everyone has the opportunity to get acquainted. In our normal working hours, almost 200 trainers and personnel are separated into five different locations across Singapore. The day is a good networking occasion, especially for me to put faces to names.

Due to the worldwide crisis Covid-19 has brought forth, the day has been organized into four major groupings by camps where majority of the trainers are stationed. The management and administrative personnel take turns engaging each group. As part of the Training Management Office, my team and I share pain points on processes, whilst understanding how best to assist the trainers on the ground so as to provide professional, timely services to both our customer and our own.

The entire process of engagement and learning about one another’s role, including tea breaks are well-organized. Everyone is in compliance in this exceptionally unusual time of crisis. We adhere to the rigid safety measures, yet still have a great time. It is simply awesome to be with everyone in this ever-growing family in eLC.

“I give the day a five-star rating. Job well done for the organizers, especially kudos to Albert, Eric and Kamal for keeping everyone well-fed and hydrated. Cheers to more good gatherings to come.” Michelle, TMO.
