Orlando, Florida

29th November - 7th December 2015

THE JOURNEY

On 29th November 2015, our CEO, Mr William Chua, together with a team of six embarked on the trip to I/ITSEC, the world's largest Modeling, Simulation & Training Conference held in Orlando, Florida annually. This year sees over 14,000 registrants and 390 exhibits. With the many recounting of experiences from colleagues whom has trekked the same route for the past decade, it promised to be a memorable experience for the first-timers that are set to explore the advancements in technology in the area of Simulation and Training. But first we have to get through more than 24 hours of travelling!

THE CONFERENCE

This year we saw many companies showcasing their innovations to enhance better learning e.g. OCULUS in the Virtual Reality arena. We also went through 4 Days of Paper Sessions, including a Vehicle Commander Convoy Package by the US Army in the form of gaming scenarios that really engaged the participants. Throughout the conference, we worked as a team by "dividing and conquering" to attend as many relevant paper sessions and viewed all the exhibits to gain and learn from what the world is doing.

THE R & R

In Orlando, after the many paper sessions and exhibition roaming, we had the opportunity to visit Disney Springs and Hooters to end the Orlando part of our journey on a happy note!

Upon reaching New York, we toured the many tourist attractions such as Times Square, Fifth Avenue, the Empire State Building, as well as the harbour vicinity. We also had time to shop around the Chinatown area and enjoyed a Hong Kong style Tim Sum lunch.

"Two words - Enriching Trip!" said Eric Ong, Trainer, POWERdrive.
