Volunteers from eLC, whom were part of the NDP Active Participation for this year, were tasked to organise the Appreciation Dinner for NDP 2014 which was held at iFly Singapore on 29th August. As per tradition, all and sundry gather after a successful close to the celebrations of the Nation's birthday, to recognise the work and contribution of each individual committee member.
Lots of effort went into decorating the event venue to ensure a suitable stage is set for the atmospheric night.
Chairman of NDP 2014 Active Participation, COL (NS) William Chua, kick off the event with a rousing opening address, after which, the feasting begun!
At the peak of the event, a photograph montage was shown of the various highlights that happen over the course of the preparation and events leading up to NDP 2014. Everyone had a great time reminiscing and recollecting their NDP experiences as they watched the moments played on screens.
Before the close of the event, a plethora of awards and certificates, in recognition of committee members' and volunteers' contributions, were presented to the respective recipients by both the Chairman and co-Chairman, COL James Teo. In turn, they were given a photo memento that brought a sweet ending to the night.
