On 11 October 2012, 68 members and families headed to Bali for eLC's 9th Company Retreat. For this year's retreat, eLC reserved the entire Plataran Bali Resort & Spa for 4 days 3 nights and that exclusivity means anything and everything goes. Water polo in the pool at 4am? Go figures!
At the Bali Airport, we were warmly welcome by the resort staff who received & transferred us to the resort comfortably.
Upon reaching the resort, late lunch was promptly served. Delicious dishes from the chef!
When we make our way to our assigned villa to rest for the day, most of us were delighted by the tranquillity, impressed with the villas and private pools, but challenged by the outdoor bathrooms. *grins*
It is truly a place to relax the mind, body and soul.
Day 2, eLC conducted its AGM in the morning where our CEO, Mr William Chua and respective business unit heads presented the company's past progress and future visions s to the staff followed by various representatives from the business units presenting their challenges and key focus for the upcoming year.

With matters concluded, we moved off to the poolside restaurant and was welcome with a "bali guling" for lunch and traditional Balinese music performers serenaded us. Next on the program, we had our company cohesion activity where all of us let loose and had fun! "It was competitive yet in good spirits as every team banded together to give their best to win." recalled Alvin Fu, Consultant. After much activities, and a hilarious closing by a Balinese dance performer getting people to perform with her, we all headed back to our villas for a siesta.

The night beckons with a buffet style dinner on the Deck with the pavilion as the centre stage for the next surprise. Dinner this time was accompanied by a Balinese Performance Act as well as our very own eLC staff showcasing their hidden talents. The night ended on a high with huge fireworks right above our heads courtesy of our CEO!

On day 3, it is a free & easy day for all eLC staff and they cannot wait to embark on their group's itinerary!
Water sports, sightseeing, traditional performances and shopping galore. Our staff really enjoyed themselves!
Day 4, it is time for us to leave the wonderful service-oriented resort. Because of the excellent service that the staff of Plataran Bali Resort & Spa provided us, we presented a token of appreciation to them. Unexpectedly, the GM of the resort, Mr Erik, too presented us with a souvenir (A tradition Balinese weapon which represents both gender). After bidding goodbye to the resort, it is time to head back home to Singapore and thus concluded our 2012 Company Retreat.
