On 29th December 2011, eLC organised an afternoon outing for 38 children and 7 home volunteers from Pertapis Children Home (PCH) make possible by generous sponsorships from partners of eLC
For lunch, the children get to hands on in a fun and interactive pizza making session, coordinated with Sarpino's Pizzeria located within Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC). After the hands-on pizza making session, PCH is scheduled for a movie session at SDC's very own five-storey high flat-screen theatre (iWERKS) as their wrapped up activity of the day. At the theatre, they caught the screening of the popular animated comedy film, "Alvin and the Chipmunks 3" which totally enraptured the audience!
The bright and sunny weather welcomed the children and the volunteers at the SDC. Everyone made their way to SDC's cafeteria for their hands-on pizza making session where Sarpino's Pizzeria is located.

After the briefing and demonstration, the anxious "chefs-to-be" started their masterpiece!
While waiting for their pizza to be baked, each group of children & volunteers are given a tour at the kitchen!
Finally their masterpiece is out and everyone is tucking in to their delicious pizza lunch!
Both the home volunteers and eLC staffs are enjoying their self-made pizzas too!
The children are excited for the much anticipated "Alvin and the Chipmunks 3" movie!

At the end of the day, while biding the children farewell, staff of eLC distributed goodie bags to everyone to wish them a happy festive period and was in turn surprised by a "Thank You" song. It was altogether a special and meaningful day for everyone concerned!
