eLC Awarded Contract (Renewal) by Defence Science & Technology Agency/Singapore Ministry of Defence for eLC´s eContent Authoring Course

12th September 2005

eLC, a leading eLearning service provider in Singapore with core competencies in customized eLearning content development and solutions to enable organizations to develop and deploy their own "e" content, has won a tender from DSTA/MINDEF, and will continue our proprietary eContent Authoring Course (eCAC) for the Singapore Ministry of Defence. This tender award includes the purchase of the Lectora eLearning content authoring tool, as well as training and mentoring services for MINDEF instructors.

eCAC focuses on providing face-to-face instructors with the technical competency to create eContent (such as eLearning courseware), the design competency to ensure that their eContent is instructionally sound, and blending competency to know which lessons to "e" and not "e".

"Various management and staff of eLC have worked with DSTA/MINDEF on numerous eLearning projects since 1994," reported William Chua, Co-CEO of eLC. "We view this tender award as yet another testimony of our alliance and strong partner relationship with DSTA/MINDEF. In fact this year, eLC is a winner of the Meritorious Defence Partner Award. We appreciate this award and look forward to contributing even further in future."

Benson Soong, Co-CEO and CLO of eLC, adds: "We won this tender despite fierce price competition from one of the largest global MNC IT companies. This shows that from a total cost of ownership perspective, eLC´s offerings are superior. This year, we have further improved and enhanced eCAC´s course syllabus and delivery, and are confident of even higher accolades."
